The ACR40T-A1 is a modern, fast contact smart card reader from ACS, designed in a SIM-sized format and equipped with a USB Type-A connector. The device supports firmware updates, allowing it to remain compliant with evolving security and integration requirements without the need to replace hardware.

Its main design feature is a sliding card slot, which makes card insertion easier and helps protect the card during transport. The ACR40T-A1 supports ISO 7816 Class A, B, and C cards (5 V, 3 V, 1.8 V) as well as microprocessor cards operating with T=0 and T=1 protocols. Thanks to compliance with CCID, PC/SC, and Microsoft® WHQL certification, integration with operating systems is simple and seamless.
