The ACR39U PocketMate II (Micro-USB) is a compact contact smart card reader from ACS—only slightly larger than a USB flash drive—which unfolds with a single motion to reveal a full-size card slot. Designed for demanding card-based applications, it combines reliability with portability.

The Micro-USB version ensures compatibility with older mobile devices and accessories that use this type of port. The reader is based on the proven ACR39 core and supports microprocessor cards and memory cards compliant with the ISO 7816 standard.

Some stores and distributors offer ACR39 variants labeled as “driver card readers” or sell bundles compatible with tachograph driver card software. The reader itself technically supports ISO 7816-compliant cards; however, proper reading of tachograph cards requires appropriate software and, in some cases, a specific model configuration.
